Tablet Weaver app for iPhone and iPad

This is an app for viewing and saving patterns for tablet weaving.

Tablet weaving, or card weaving, or as we call it in Norway brikkveving, is a very old technique for making ribbons using a number of cards that you twist to make a pattern. It has been a common craft in many places and times, and is known to have been used in the Scandinavia as early as the Viking age.
It is still used now for traditional costumes, and gaining popularity due to its mobility and simplicity.

I have included 20 patterns, that can be varied by changing the frequency and direction of the pattern, as well as the direction of the threads. You can also change colour to get a better feeling for how it will look the best, as well as define and save your own using an existing pattern or an empty template as a starting point. You can then take a screenshot to share the pattern with others.

There is also a view to help you with threading the cards based on the colours and settings you have selected.

Although a few instructions and helpful tips are included, its expected that you are already familiar with the basics of this technique, and there are numerous and helpful instructions to be found on the internet to help you get started.

This version only supports the most basic patterns and techniques, i.e. only cards with 4 sides with all cards turning at the same time and in the same direction. I will endeavour to make a version that supports more techniques and patterns later.
